In the early 2000s Dr. Bhuriwala was a Primary Care Physician out of Huntsville, TX seeing his hospitalized clinic patient early in the morning then having work in clinic all day.  Unfortunately, at the time this was how hospital medicine was practiced.  After several years of not having a work life balance “Hospitalists” started becoming the concept of hospital medicine.  It was at this time when he was approached by a nationally known hospitalist company with the opportunity to moonlight as a hospitalist.  He did this for several years but realized this group still did not offer the work-life balance physicians so desperately needed.  In 2008 he had the innovative idea to start a hospitalist group of his own that offered flexible, dynamic, and innovative scheduling that created the work-life balance the industry was lacking.  Within the first year the group grew from just Dr. Bhuriwala to four other like minded physicians.  They approached several hospitals in the area and received their first contract in 2010 with Huntsville Memorial.  That marked the beginning of an amazing journey of ups and downs.  A journey that despite all its challenges allowed physicians involved to grow both personally and professionally.  The group grew from four physicians at one hospital in 2008 to over 35 medical providers at over ten medical facilities today. 

 

Dr. Bhuriwala’s passion has always been improving patient care and improving hospitalist services for all his business partners.  Over the past fifteen years Dr. Bhuriwala has built clinical and managerial experience in hospitalist management and care that gives him the ability to provide quality service with attention to exceptional care.  Our slogan of “Compassionate Care at a Critical Moment” is something that we strive to do with every patient and family our physicians see.
